A survey by Pew Research Center for the People and Press and Smithsonian Magazine, stated that 41% of those surveyed expect Jesus Christ Second Coming within the next 40 years, while 46% said it probably or definitely will not happen.  What to you think?

The poll also suggest that 58 percent of white evangelicals believe Jesus will return by 2050, while only 32 percent of Catholics believe He will return by that time frame. This same group of people, American's believe their will be some type of nuclear terrorism against US by 2050.

It was also predicted by 68 percent under the age of 30 believe their will be another world war by 2050. 72% believe there will be an worldwide energy crisis by 2050 and still another 31% believe an asteroid will strike the planet.

This is a lot of doom and gloom, how do we as a church encourage the body of Christ? Where is your hope today, and how can we show this hope to those lost in the world.  I read the other day, that only 1/3 of the worlds population are Christians, who do we proclaim the gospel to so many lost souls?

The Temple Mount

According to news headlines, thousands of Jews gathered recently at the gates of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to "declare their allegiance to this holy site and to declare the city of Jerusalem is the united, undivided, and eternal capital of the Jewish people."

This Temple Mount, known as the Dome of the Rock, under Moslem rule forbid Jew from praying on the this most holy site. For those who may not know, or forgot the Dome of The Rock is the site where Abraham took his son, Isaac to offer as a sacrifice. It is called Mount Moriah, and it is where King Solomon built the first Jewish Temple, 3000 years ago.   Read: 11 Chronicles 3:1, Ezra 1-6.

This mount is a place of obvious controversy (Zechariah 12:2).  God is a jealous God, and He loves Jerusalem, and one day and one day soon, I believe, it will take back His Temple...and Biblical prophecy will be fulfilled.
